Dr. Tamika Zapolski, Ph.D., HSPP

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine. I engage in a variety of professional activities including research, clinical services for youth and adults, community engagement, consultation, and training. The overarching goal for all my work is to engage in culturally centered and developmentally appropriate practices that are relevant and effective and meet the needs of those I serve.

Mental Health &

Substance Use

  • Clinical expertise in incorporation of DBT techniques and skills for youth/adolescent and adult clients

  • Clinical expertise in substance use treatment and recovery

  • Research expertise on sociocultural models for mental health and substance use among youth and young adults

Community Engagement

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and adaptations in clinical, community, and school settings
